Product Engineer – High Voltage Systems (11–500 kV)

As an authorised partner of leading global manufacturers, i, we are expanding our engineering capability and are seeking a Product Engineer to support our rapidly growing High Voltage Surge Arrester portfolio.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent Electrical Engineering graduate or an early-career engineer looking to develop specialist expertise within the high voltage power industry.

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Projects, you will become the technical specialist for our High Voltage Surge Arrester product range covering applications from 11 kV to 500 kV.

This role combines engineering, technical support, estimating and product management, providing exposure to some of Australia's largest transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects.

You will work closely with customers, utilities, consultants, contractors and international manufacturing partners to deliver technically sound and commercially competitive solutions.

• Prepare technical quotations and commercial proposals.

• Select and specify surge arresters for projects from 11 kV to 500 kV.

• Review electrical drawings, specifications and customer requirements.

• Provide technical support to customers and the sales team.

• Assist with major infrastructure tenders and project submissions.

• Liaise with international manufacturing partners.

• Maintain product pricing and technical documentation.

• Deliver product presentations and technical training.

• Support the continued growth of the High Voltage product portfolio.

You are motivated, technically minded and enjoy solving engineering challenges.

You will ideally have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering (or be nearing completion).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• High attention to detail.

• The ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Previous experience with surge arresters is not essential. Comprehensive training and mentoring will be provided.
