The opportunity
We are looking for a Consumer Education Lead to help build capability across AFL and AFL Club consumer teams, supporting people to use consumer systems with confidence, consistency and practical impact.
Sitting within the Consumer Platforms function and reporting to the Manager, Consumer Platforms, this role plays an important part in translating system investment, process improvement and platform change into clear learning, stronger adoption and better ways of working.
Based at AFL House in Melbourne, you will work across membership, ticketing, consumer platforms and consumer operations to design education, training and knowledge resources that help teams deliver better consumer outcomes.
What You’ll Own
In this role, you will lead practical, engaging and trusted education activity that supports AFL Clubs and internal teams to get the best from consumer systems and processes.
You’ll Add Value Through
Leading the development and delivery of the AFL Consumer education strategy, aligned to Consumer Platforms objectives and broader consumer outcomesBuilding strong working relationships with AFL Clubs and internal consumer teams to understand needs, identify capability gaps and provide practical supportDesigning and delivering engaging training programmes across membership, ticketing, consumer platforms and operational processesDeveloping and maintaining learning pathways, onboarding resources, playbooks, user guides, process documentation and knowledge management materialsSupporting platform adoption by helping users understand new capabilities, system enhancements, process changes and agreed ways of workingPartnering with Consumer Platforms, Club Membership, Ticketing and Growth teams to ensure education activity remains relevant, timely and aligned to business needsFacilitating knowledge sharing across AFL Clubs by showcasing better practice, encouraging consistent standards and supporting continuous improvementMeasuring the effectiveness of training and education activity through feedback, adoption insights and performance outcomes, using learnings to improve future programmesSupporting change initiatives by embedding clear education and communication approaches into major projects, platform enhancements and process changesUsing technology and AI to continuously improve how work is delivered, supporting more efficient, effective and innovative outcomes aligned to our Game Plan
What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training, education or capability uplift programmes across multiple stakeholder groupsStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across clubs, internal teams and platform ownersThe ability to translate complex systems, processes and operational concepts into simple, practical and engaging learning experiencesExperience developing onboarding programmes, playbooks, user guides, process documentation or knowledge management resourcesStrong facilitation, presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences and user needsA practical, outcome-focused approach to identifying capability gaps, prioritising learning needs and delivering solutions that improve adoption and performanceAdvanced technical capability working with Ticketmaster’s Archtics and Account Manager platformsRelevant knowledge of ticketing, CRM or related consumer operations platformsSound judgement, collaboration and care in the way you work with others, with a commitment to helping teams succeed and do things better
