Factory Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented Factory Cleaner to join our team at our food manufacturing facility in Carrum Downs.

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across production areas, amenities and other designated areas of the facility.

As we operate in a food manufacturing environment, this position requires a high level of attention to detail, personal responsibility and hygiene awareness. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands that factory cleaning involves more than simply cleaning visible surfaces.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning, mopping and sanitising floors throughout designated production and facility areas

• Cleaning walls, doors, windows, work surfaces and external equipment surfaces as required

• Removing dust, powder, product residue, spills and other debris from production areas

• Thoroughly cleaning areas that can easily be overlooked, including corners, edges, around and underneath equipment, door frames and other hard-to-reach areas

• Cleaning and maintaining staff amenities, including toilets, handwashing areas, change rooms and staff common areas

• Emptying bins, replacing bin liners and maintaining cleanliness of waste disposal areas

• Using cleaning chemicals, sanitisers and cleaning equipment correctly and safely

• Following daily, weekly and scheduled cleaning programs

• Completing cleaning records and checklists accurately where required

• Ensuring cleaning equipment and supplies are cleaned, organised and returned to the correct location after use

• Identifying and reporting hygiene issues, spills, leaks, damage or other concerns to the supervisor

• Following company hygiene, food safety, WHS and site procedures at all times

• Performing other cleaning and hygiene-related duties as required
