Rise is seeking a registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with the heart and skills to make a difference in the Perth community, build strong connections and create genuine outcomes for clients.

Sustainable caseloads – a realistic target of 5.5 billable hours per day for full-time, pro-rated for part-time employees. Targets are adjusted each month to account for approved leave and professional development, allowing you to focus on quality care without the pressure of catching up on billables. Design your day, define your impact - create a schedule that works for you. Professional development - Rise provides paid clinical supervision with a supervisor of the employee’s choice. Flexibility focus – This position is available full-time (76 hours per fortnight) or part-time, with working hours negotiable between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Work your way – Enjoy a mix of working from home, from one of our Rise offices (including Helen's Place, Middle Swan), and in the community, depending on your schedule and client needs. Autonomy within a supportive team – Enjoy being in an autonomous role, whilst knowing that support is just a message or call away.
What a Typical Day Might Include
Developing and implementing Behaviour Support plans in line with NDIS funding and NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission regulations for participants who choose Rise and working with all relevant parties, including clients, family members, guardians, and implementing providers. Creating Behaviour Support resources individualised to participants and their support teamCompleting functional behaviour assessments Providing expertise and advice to inform staff development of strengths-based, trauma informed, person centred positive support practices Assisting participants and their support system on meeting their unmet needs and building capacity, ultimately leading to improved quality of life outcomesWorking to reduce or eliminate the use of restrictive practices

Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (essential) Strong understanding of standards and legislation governing use of restrictive practices in Western AustraliaProven capability in developing, implementing, monitoring Behaviour Support plansUnderstanding and experience in the use of relevant assessment tools

Appointments to this position require a NDIS worker screening check and working with children check. Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.
