SENIOR RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT

By Baby is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Senior Retail Sales Assistant to join our James Street boutique. This role is perfect for someone who loves jewellery, enjoys connecting with people, and takes pride in creating a beautiful, welcoming retail experience both in-store and online.

The Role 

You'll be part of a passionate, hands-on retail team, working approximately 3 days per week, focused on delivering thoughtful, engaging service and creating an exceptional experience for every customer, both in-store and online.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, attentive and knowledgeable customer service in-store and online, creating a memorable experience for every customer

• Support daily boutique operations, including visual standards, presentation and organisation

• Manage online order fulfilment and respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Own and report on sales KPIs, tracking performance against store goals and identifying opportunities to improve

• Mentor and support junior team members, helping build their product knowledge and service skills

• Oversee store opening and closing procedures

• Act as supervisor as needed, overseeing day-to-day operations

• Apply a positive, proactive approach to customer service and problem solving

• Contribute to an energetic and inviting retail environment, encouraging a supportive and collaborative team culture

Key Attributes

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in fashion or jewellery retail

• Genuine interest in jewellery, fashion and luxury goods

• Confident communicator with strong attention to detail

• Positive, adaptable and solution-focused

• Comfortable working towards and reporting on targets

• Warm, professional and team-oriented

Hours

Approximately 3 days per week, with weekend availability essential (specific days to be discussed with successful applicants)
