Account Manager - Auto Trade

PERSOL is partnering with Fuchs Lubricants Australia to recruit an Account Manager - WA Automotive Trade / Commercial to service the Perth region with some regional responsibility.

Are you an experienced sales professional in the Automotive, Civil or Transport industry with a passion for building customer relationships, developing new business and growing market share?

Fuchs is looking for a commercially focused sales professional to manage and develop its Trade business across Perth, working with Civil Earthmovers, Transport Fleets, Automotive workshops, Franchise Car Dealerships, Distributors and Trade customers.

About the role

This is a hands-on territory sales role where you will be responsible for developing existing accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities across the Perth automotive trade market.

You will represent the Fuchs brand in the market, providing customers with product solutions, technical support and a high level of service, reporting to the WA Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established portfolio of trade customers across Perth
• Develop strong relationships with workshops, dealerships, distributors and other trade customers
• Identify and win new business opportunities across the territory
• Promote Fuchs lubricants, products and technical solutions
• Increase sales, profitability and market share across the territory
• Develop and manage customer call cycles and territory plans
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements
• Provide sales and technical support to customers in the field
• Introduce new products and technologies to customers
• Support customer training, trade shows and industry events
• Prepare sales forecasts and territory performance reports
• Work closely with internal sales, technical and marketing teams
• Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and grow share of wallet

About you

We are looking for someone who understands the automotive trade environment and enjoys being out in the market developing relationships and winning business.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in automotive sales, trade sales or industrial sales
• A proven track record in business development and account management
• Experience dealing with workshops, dealerships, distributors or trade customers
• Automotive or mechanical technical knowledge
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A commercially driven and results-focused approach
• Excellent organisation and territory management skills
• The confidence to work autonomously across a defined territory

Experience in automotive parts, lubricants, mechanical products or related technical products will be highly regarded.
