Assistant Store Manager

YoFro Willetton is looking for a friendly, motivated and reliable Assistant Store Manager to help manage the day-to-day operation of our frozen yoghurt and açaí store at Southlands Boulevarde.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative and is comfortable taking responsibility for keeping the store running smoothly.

About the role

You’ll work closely with the manager and team to help manage the store, support staff and maintain a high standard of customer service and day-to-day operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing friendly, high-quality customer service
• Managing and supporting a small team - Supervising shifts and helping staff resolve issues
• Training and supporting team members - Managing stock levels, ordering and stock organisation
• Helping ensure the store is clean, organised and operating to a high standard
• Assisting with opening, closing and other day-to-day store operations
• Helping implement procedures and maintain operational standards
• Assisting with marketing, promotions and other store initiatives
• Taking initiative to identify and resolve operational issues
• Providing operational support to staff between Wednesday and Saturday, including responding to urgent operational issues outside rostered shifts where reasonably required

Essential:

• Previous management or supervisory experience
• Previous hospitality or food-service experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, organised and able to take responsibility
• Comfortable supervising and supporting other staff
• Able to work independently and use initiative
• High standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Basic competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Availability to work at least 2 days between Wednesday and Saturday, with availability for 3 days preferred
• Able to work about 20 hours per week

Preferred:

• Provisional or full Australian driver's licence
• Experience with stock management, rostering or staff training
• Experience in a fast-paced food, retail or customer-service environment
