Material Mover / Stores Person

About the role

Join the dynamic warehouse team at Remington Steel as a full-time Storesperson. Based in Derrimut Victoria. This hands-on role will see you be part of an operational team that will be supportive, driving customer service across Victoria

What you'll be doing

• Receiving, picking, and packing goods that require manual strapping and packing.

• Dispatching of orders, which includes loading trucks.

• Liaising effectively with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. 

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials and products

• Sort, organise, and store materials and products in designated areas according to established procedures

• Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting stocktakes and cycle counts as required.

• Assist in the preparation of outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and loading goods

• Manage all associated paperwork.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment

• Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimise workflow and improve efficiency.

• General Housekeeping when required.

• Assisting in production work.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role.

• Dedicated approach to customer requirements and overall service delivery.

• Ability to work autonomously

• Operational experience in Steel

• Operation of industrial trucks, forklift licence and experience with overhead cranes, moving industrial materials at varying heights.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Good communication and teamwork skills with a demonstrated ability to work together to achieve our desired business outcomes.
