Christmas Display Solutions is one of Australia's leading providers of commercial Christmas displays, decorations, festive installations, and seasonal experiences.

We partner with shopping centres, councils, commercial property groups, hotels, corporate clients, and public spaces to create memorable festive experiences that engage visitors and transform environments.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a hands-on Warehouse, Service & Repair Manager to take ownership of our warehouse operations, asset management, refurbishment program, and decorative production activities.

This is not a desk-based management role.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building, fixing, organising, creating, and improving. You'll be equally comfortable managing warehouse operations, preparing installation projects, repairing Christmas assets, operating machinery, and helping create new decorations and display elements.

This role requires a practical leader who is comfortable operating forklifts and Elevated Work Platforms, preparing installation projects, undertaking repairs and refurbishment work, and supporting installation teams both within the warehouse and occasionally on-site.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our decorations, displays, tools, and equipment are organised, maintained, repaired, and ready for installation teams nationwide.

You will play a critical role in the preparation, refurbishment, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of thousands of Christmas assets while supporting installation teams during our busy seasonal periods.

This role combines warehouse management, logistics coordination, refurbishment, repair work, production support, and hands-on craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Management

• Maintain a clean, organised, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

• Manage all inward and outward goods movements.

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and equipment.

• Maintain accurate inventory and asset tracking systems.

• Conduct regular stocktakes and inventory audits.

• Manage warehouse storage locations and asset organisation.

• Ensure all decorations, tools, and equipment are correctly stored and protected.

Installation Preparation & Logistics

• Work closely with the Operations Manager to prepare projects for installation.

• Pick, pack, stage, and prepare decorations and equipment for projects across Australia.

• Coordinate installation tools, equipment, and consumables.

• Load and unload vehicles using forklifts and warehouse equipment.

• Ensure installation teams have everything required for successful project delivery.

• Support transport and logistics planning.

• Assist installation teams on-site when required during peak periods.

Service, Repairs & Refurbishment

• Lead the repair, maintenance, testing, and refurbishment of Christmas assets.

• Inspect returned decorations and displays following installations.

• Troubleshoot faults and identify repair requirements.

• Repair lighting products, wreaths, garlands, trees, props, display structures, and decorative elements.

• Replace damaged components and undertake preventative maintenance.

• Maintain refurbishment schedules and repair records.

• Ensure all assets meet presentation, safety, and operational standards.

Decorative Production & Creative Construction

• Assist in the creation and assembly of new Christmas decorations and displays.

• Build, customise, and enhance display elements for client projects.

• Work with a variety of materials including timber, metal, plastics, fabrics, foliage, lighting, and decorative finishes.

• Assist with painting, trimming, decorating, wiring, and assembly tasks.

• Support the production of bespoke decorations and custom display pieces.

• Help continuously improve the quality and presentation of company assets.

Asset & Equipment Management

• Manage company tools, equipment, machinery, and access equipment.

• Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, tested, tagged, and ready for use.

• Coordinate maintenance schedules and compliance requirements.

• Monitor warehouse consumables and supplies.

• Assist with purchasing replacement parts and materials.

About You

You are highly organised, practical, and enjoy working with your hands.

You take pride in maintaining high standards and enjoy solving problems, repairing equipment, building things, and keeping operations running smoothly.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, operations, maintenance, manufacturing, or inventory management.

• Strong organisational and planning skills.

• Hands-on experience using hand and power tools.

• Ability to undertake repairs, assembly, refurbishment, and production work.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.

• Current Forklift Licence (essential), experience operating reach forklifts (preferred).

• Current Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence (preferred).

• Current Driver's Licence.

• Physically capable of manual handling and warehouse activities.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.

Highly Desirable

• Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, carpentry, shop fitting, construction, maintenance, events, signage, theming, or production environments.

• Experience managing stock and asset systems and managing a warehouse.

• Experience leading small teams.

• Welding, fabrication, painting, decorating, or creative construction experience.

• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
