Afternoon Shift Machine Operator

We have a vacancy within our afternoon shift team!

At Bayside Flashing & Ventilations we work around the clock to meet our customer's onsite demands. Our afternoon shift is an integral part of our business and we have a rare opening for an experienced machine operator to join the team.

Manufacturing long-length made-to-order steel flashings, our machine operators work in teams of two within our fast-paced and friendly sheet metal manufacturing business. We're offering the successful candidate a full-time position, with stable employment and on-the-job training.

The Role

• Above award pay rates

• Paid overtime available

• 2:30 pm start - 11:00 pm finish

• Braeside location

• Working on SWI slitter/folders

• Pulling and cutting material to nominated girths

• Folding long-length steel flashings from customer-submitted shop drawings

• Assist in loading trucks for first-run deliveries 

• Stable, long-term employment on offer within an established family business

The Person

• 2+ years of experience in a similar machine operator position

• Sheet metal experience is preferred, but not essential

• Able to work within a small team

• Interested in long-term, ongoing employment

• Basic mathematical skills

• Attention to detail and ability to contribute to quality control

• Someone who thrives on afternoon/evening work
