Assistant Warehouse Manager

Fulfillio is a growing Australian third-party logistics (3PL) provider supporting retail and eCommerce brands across Australia.

We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our Distribution Centre in Altona, VIC and support the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day operation of the facility.

This is a full-time, on-site position and an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor, 2IC or warehouse professional looking to take the next step into warehouse management.

This is not a desk-only role. You will be actively involved in the daily operation, working closely with the warehouse team to ensure orders are processed on time, inventory is accurate, inbound stock is received correctly and operational issues are resolved quickly.

What you'll be responsible for

• Support the Warehouse Manager with the daily running of the Distribution Centre.

• Coordinate warehouse staff, workloads and daily operational priorities.

• Monitor picking, packing, replenishment and dispatch throughout the day.

• Ensure priority orders and daily shipments are completed before carrier cut-offs.

• Identify and resolve orders that are delayed, stuck or unable to progress.

• Coordinate inbound receiving, purchase orders and stock movements.

• Investigate stock discrepancies, incorrect locations and inventory issues.

• Support cycle counts and stocktakes.

• Ensure damaged, returned and quarantined stock is correctly processed.

• Coordinate carrier collections, pallet movements and freight bookings.

• Follow up missed collections, freight exceptions and operational issues.

• Use our Warehouse Management System and RF scanners to monitor warehouse activity.

• Escalate system issues clearly and follow them through to resolution.

• Help train and support warehouse team members.

• Monitor warehouse KPIs, productivity, accuracy and workflow.

• Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse.

• Work hands-on on the warehouse floor whenever required.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who takes ownership and understands how a busy warehouse operates.

You will ideally have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in warehousing, logistics or distribution.

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor, 2IC, Storeperson or similar.

• Strong understanding of receiving, inventory, picking, packing and dispatch.

• Experience using a WMS, ERP or warehouse scanning system.

• Good computer skills and confidence working with operational data.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritise and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Confidence coordinating and supporting a warehouse team.

• Strong communication skills.

• A hands-on attitude and willingness to work on the warehouse floor.

• Reliability and a strong sense of accountability.

A current LF/LO forklift licence will be highly regarded.

Mandatory requirements

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Altona Distribution Centre.

Applicants must:

• Have full and unrestricted Australian working rights.

• Be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday.

• Be able to work on-site at our Altona, VIC Distribution Centre.

• Be available to work additional hours when reasonably required by operational demands.

Applicants with restrictions on the number of hours they are permitted to work will not be suitable for this position.

What we offer

• $60,000–$70,000 + super, depending on experience.
