About the role
Why You’ll Be Excited About This Role
If you enjoy the energy of events, solving problems on the go and seeing a great client experience come together because of your work, this role gives you plenty to get involved in.
As Assistant Venue Manager across our Sydney venues, you’ll build experience across the full operation of a premium corporate events environment. You’ll work closely with an experienced Venue Manager, help keep two busy venues running smoothly and play an important part in delivering meetings, conferences, training programs, exams and events that our clients remember for the right reasons.
It’s a role with real variety. One moment you might be supporting the team through a busy event period, the next you could be helping solve a client request, coordinating catering or making sure the venue is ready for what’s coming next.
You’ll also have room to contribute. We value people who spot opportunities, suggest better ways of doing things and enjoy finding practical solutions.
How This Will Transform Your Career
More than a stepping stone into venue management, this is an opportunity to broaden your commercial, operational, leadership and client service experience in one role.
People who have worked in roles within our venues have gone on to build other careers internally at Cliftons, so you’ll be joining a business where your next opportunity does not necessarily have to look like your current one.
You’ll continue developing through hands-on experience, coaching from your manager and access to LinkedIn Learning. Over time, you’ll build confidence in leading teams, managing competing priorities, working with clients and understanding what it takes to operate successful event venues.
Why You’ll Like Working Here
At Cliftons, creating remarkable experiences for our clients starts with creating a supportive experience for our people.
You’ll join a collaborative Sydney team where people share knowledge, help each other out and are encouraged to speak up with ideas. Our leaders are approachable, and we want you to feel trusted to do your job while having support when you need it.
We also recognise that working in events can be demanding, so we’ve created benefits that help you recharge and make work fit more comfortably around life:
