Seeking Experienced FIFO Chefs

Are you an experienced FIFO Chef looking for flexible casual work and ongoing opportunities across Western Australia?

Remote Chef is seeking reliable, skilled and adaptable chefs to join our casual FIFO team. We work across a variety of WA mine sites and remote camps and are looking for chefs who can confidently step into busy, high-volume catering environments.

Please note: To be considered, your application must clearly demonstrate Australian FIFO camp chef experience and that you are currently based in Western Australia.

About the Role

You will work in large-scale FIFO camp kitchens, preparing and serving quality meals for large workforces.

Depending on the site and roster, your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing breakfast, crib, lunch and dinner

• High-volume bulk meal preparation

• Buffet-style service for large crews

• Catering for dietary, medical and cultural requirements

• Following HACCP and food safety procedures

• Maintaining clean, organised and audit-ready kitchens

• Working day, night and/or split shifts

• Working effectively as part of a camp catering team

• Working independently when required

• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency

Essential Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

• Minimum 1 year Australian FIFO Chef experience

• Current Western Australian residency

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery

• Demonstrated bulk catering / high-volume cooking experience

• Strong HACCP and food safety knowledge

• Current WA Driver's Licence

• National Police Clearance issued within the last 4 months

• White Card

• Full Australian working rights

• Ability to work effectively in remote FIFO environments

• Flexibility to accept casual swings, including short-notice opportunities

• A reliable, professional and safety-focused attitude

Overseas-Qualified Chefs
