State Manager NSW - Tyre Wholesale

An opportunity now exists for a highly skilled & motivated State Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and deliver long term sales growth within our NSW branch.

What is the Role?

Reporting to the COO, the NSW State Manager is responsible for leading the overall NSW business, from the warehouse & logistics operation, through to the delivery of new business & the achievement of sales budgets. This will be achieved through providing effective leadership & mentoring of our NSW team to ensure alignment with our vision which is being the first-choice supplier for our customers by providing high value tyre solutions.

This role will be responsible for our NSW operation, including;

• Providing leadership & mentoring the warehouse/logistic teams to deliver operational efficiency, & industry leading delivery performance.

• Leading the development & delivery of targeted strategies to achieve sales growth with existing & new customers.

• Identifying emerging markets & changing dynamics, providing insight to the business on new product & market opportunities as well as competitor activities.

• Managing & mentoring the internal sales & business development teams to ensure alignment with the business strategy & delivery of positive sales growth.

• Leading by example in the drive to reach and exceed sales targets and monthly budgets.

This role is based at our NSW warehouse located in Glendenning NSW and there will be a requirement to undertake some domestic travel.

Who are we looking for?

We require an experienced candidate, with demonstrated sales & operational management background. You will have strong business acumen & effective people management skills in order to deliver ongoing success. With strong communication & negotiation skills, you will also possess:

• Extensive experience within the tyre industry.

• Experience in the management of operational & sales teams.

• Experience in developing “total value” based sales propositions.

• Proven ability to negotiate & deliver commercially viable offerings to wholesale, retail & tyre distributors, & end-users;

• Ability to effectively communicate & sell to multiple levels within an organisation from fleet maintenance people through to senior management.

• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple operational matters on an ongoing basis;

• A proven track record of continuous improvement & implementing innovative ideas with customers.

• Tyre knowledge & demonstrated sales success is not a pre-requisite but may be an advantage.
