Disability Support Worker

MateCare is seeking motivated staff to join our team in the Central Coast. If you have a passion for positive impact in the community, a drive to help others and a sense of humour, MateCare may be for you!

Roles & Responsibilities include:

• Assistance with Personal care

• Supporting clients who display behaviours of concern

• Light domestic support and household tasks

• Assistance in or full preparation of meals

• Support with assistive technology

• Assisting clients in accessing the community

• Administering medication. (Training will be provided)

• Providing general emotional support

The successful candidate will have:

• The ability to lead and guide others

• The ability to develop strong relationships with our clients

• A sense of humour

• The ability to show patience and empathy

Mandatory Requirements include:

• Current First Aid Level 2 Certificate

• Current CPR (annual)

• Current Working with Children's Check (WWCC)

• NDIS Workers Clearance

• Current Driver's License

• Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance or a willingness to obtain.

• Willingness to use a personal vehicle for the transport of clients while on shift

• Valid Australian work rights are required for this position
