Crane Operator

We specialise in Highrise residential developments, lowrise residential developments and commercial developments, and design and construct projects. We are looking for an experienced, reliable and safety focused Tower Crane Operator to join the Team.

We have experienced significant growth within the past 12 months and now require a full time Tower Crane Operator for our Carlingford residential development.

About the role:

As a Tower Crane Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the tower crane across all stages of the build, from establishment through to structure completion and crane dismantle.

You will work closely with our Site Managers, dogmen, subcontractors and suppliers to plan and execute every lift, keeping site activities running to program while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

This is a permanent full time position, supported by an ongoing pipeline of Sydney projects.

Key Responsibilities:

•          Safe and efficient operation of the tower crane in accordance with load charts, lift plans and site specific SWMS

•          Lifting formwork, reinforcement, AFS/Dincel panels, concrete kibbles, scaffold and materials to the working deck

•          Complete daily pre-start inspections, greasing and fault reporting, and maintain crane logbooks and service records

•          Maintain clear radio communication with dogmen and the site team at all times, including blind lifts

•          Operate within crane access deed conditions, oversail restrictions and established exclusion zones

•          Support crane erection, climbs and dismantle in conjunction with the crane supplier

•          Coordinate daily lift schedules with the Site Manager to keep site activities running to program

•          Report all incidents, near misses and plant defects to the Site Manager and HSEQ Manager

•          Ensure compliance with all WHS legislation, company policies and our ISO certified management systems

Skills and experience:

•          Current High Risk Work Licence – Tower Crane (CT)

•          Current Dogging (DG) licence

•          Current Construction Induction Card (White Card)

•          Proven experience (2+ years) operating tower cranes on highrise residential or commercial projects

•          Strong understanding of load charts, lift planning, exclusion zones and rigging practices

•          Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a site team

•          Reliable, punctual and safety focused, with a genuine commitment to zero harm

•          Valid driver’s licence

•          Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen

•          Rigging, EWP or additional High Risk Work Licences (CV, C6) will be highly regarded
