ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Accounts Officer is to co-ordinate and perform clerical accounts functions for the assigned regions, as well as assisting the key relationships to adhere to company policies.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Co-ordinate operational information and input data into invoicing system within required time frames to ensure customer contracts are adhered to
• Ensure all revenue is captured
• Ensure all client invoices are sent out following company procedure
• Ensure all month end deadlines are met
• Ensure all vendor invoices are authorised in accordance with company policy
• Code invoices using company’s chart of accounts
• Match invoices to purchase orders and process
• Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis
• Provide accrual information for AP & AR at month end
• Maintain filing systems both electronic and physical
• Any other associated task

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office & Excel
• Ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution
• Ability to work well within a small team environment
