About the Role

SSP Australia is looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the exciting new opening of MoVida @ The Airport at Sydney Airport Terminal 2 on a full-time basis.

As part of the brand-new The Rocks Precinct, MoVida @ The Airport will bring the renowned MoVida dining experience to Sydney Airport, offering travellers a distinctive food and hospitality experience.

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to support the kitchen team and ensure the delivery of high-quality food, consistency and exceptional presentation. You will play an important role in maintaining culinary standards, supporting team development and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

We’re looking for a hands-on culinary professional with a genuine passion for food, strong attention to detail and the ability to inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role

• Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery (Essential)

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Essential)

• Strong passion for quality food, culinary standards and presentation

• Experience leading, supporting and developing a kitchen team

• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS practices

• Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills

• A positive, energetic and can-do attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
