Casual Receptionist

Sundown Villas Canberra is looking for an experienced and reliable Casual Receptionist to join our friendly team. This role is primarily weekend-based, with additional weekday shifts available as required.

We're looking for someone with previous accommodation reception experience who can work independently, deliver outstanding guest service, and confidently manage front office operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Welcoming guests and managing check-ins and check-outs

• Answering phone calls and responding to email enquiries

• Processing reservations and updating guest details in NewBook RMS

• Completing end-of-day and night audit procedures

• Processing payments and balancing daily transactions

• Assisting guests with enquiries and resolving issues professionally

• Maintaining a welcoming and organised reception area

• Supporting general administrative and front office duties

What We're Looking For

• 2–3 years' experience in a hotel, motel, serviced apartment, or accommodation reception role

• Experience using NewBook RMS or similar

• Experience completing end-of-day/night audit procedures

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and remain calm in a busy environment

• Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and occasional weekday shifts
