About the role
Child and Adolescent Psychology Services (CAPS) is looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated people to join our growing casual team.
In this role, you will support children and young people in Out of Home Care (OoHC) and participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) by providing safe transport, practical assistance, supervised family contact, and community-based support.

As a Casual OoHC & Disability Support Worker, your responsibilities may include:
Transporting children and young people to and from school, appointments, supervised family contact visits, and other approved activities.
Providing safe, positive, and trauma-informed support during transport and community activities.
Supporting NDIS participants to achieve their individual goals and participate in their communities.
Ability to complete a supervised contact, complete accurate case notes and maintaining professional documentation.
Working in accordance with CAPS policies, the Child Safe Standards, and Department of Family, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) guidelines.
Participating in comprehensive induction, training, and ongoing professional development.
CAPS is currently seeking workers who are available to provide supports across Greater Melbourne and surrounding metropolitan areas.
Workers may be required to travel to different locations across Melbourne depending on client needs, including schools, homes, community settings, appointments, and supervised family contact venues.
Applicants should be comfortable travelling across the Greater Melbourne area and have reliable access to a suitable vehicle for work-related travel.
Current VIC Driver Licence (Green P plates or higher)
A reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle fitted with child restraint anchor points.
Current Working with Children Check.
Current National Police Check.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Experience working with children and young people in Out of Home Care (OoHC).
Experience supporting people with disability.
Certificate IV in Community Services (CHC42021) or Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (CHC40321).
Experience in youth work, community services, disability support, education, or a related field.
Flexible availability
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team.
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to complete professional case notes.
Comprehensive induction, training, and ongoing professional development.
Meaningful work supporting vulnerable children, young people, and people living with disability.
A supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team.
