Sales Consultant/Delivery Driver

Yakult Australia is a global leader in probiotics, manufacturing and marketing the unique fermented milk drink, ‘Yakult’. Sales have grown substantially in Australia since 1994. We operate in all states of Australia, with our head office and state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located in Dandenong South, Victoria. 

We currently have a full-time opportunity for an Entry Level Sales Consultant to join our Victorian sales team in Dandenong South. The successful candidate will gain broad sales and customer service experience through our sales and product knowledge training program. 

This role will uphold an excellent standard of customer service by completing regular store visits, ensuring adequate and appropriate stock levels, and assisting with customer complaints and problems, when they arise. 

Working Hours 

The successful candidate will work from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. 

Salary 

The starting salary for this position is $53,681.54 per annum, plus superannuation, for the first three months. Upon the successful completion of the three-month probationary period, the salary will increase to $56,699.76 per annum plus superannuation. 

In addition, this role offers you the opportunity to participate in Yakult’s ‘Sales Incentive Scheme’, in which we financially reward your efforts for achieving sales targets. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining in-store relationships by providing excellent customer service and regular communication 

• Delivering stock to customers 

• Completing sales paperwork 

• Retrieve, count, and balance stock 

• Negotiate or advise additional/ better shelf space with existing retailers 

• Inform customers of future advertising campaigns 

• Meet specific monthly sales objectives 

• Open new accounts 

• Observe and practice OH&S procedures 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships 

• Ability to maintain and generate additional sales 

• Sound communication skills 

• Ability to work safely and independently 

• Physically able to lift up to 12kgs 

• Able to complete all customer site visits within designated territory and timeframes
