Full-Time Licensed Holiday Property Manager

About Us: The Lakes Resort Cairns is a premium 11-hectare tropical resort located in the heart of Cairns North. We provide exceptional resort accommodation and manage both short-term and permanent property rentals within our vibrant complex. We are currently seeking a motivated and highly organized Licensed Holiday Property Manager to be the welcoming face of the resort and manage the daily on-the-ground experience for our guests and residents.

The Role: This is a full-time, front-of-house position. While the backend reservations and trust accounting are handled by our principal licensee, we require a second fully licensed professional on-site to take ownership of our front-end operations. You will manage the guest experience, coordinate daily resort logistics, ensure our units meet premium standards, and support the broader property management division. Because of our operational structure and compliance requirements, a Full Queensland Real Estate Agent Licence is strictly required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the welcoming first point of contact for all incoming calls, guest check-ins/check-outs, and walk-in inquiries.

• Coordinate daily schedules and dispatch tasks to the housekeeping and maintenance teams using the RMS platform, seamlessly integrating these workflows into all front-end operations.

• Oversee front-end reservation channels and manage daily interactions with major Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) including Booking.com, Trip.com, Expedia, and others.

• Handle on-the-ground guest requests, troubleshoot issues, and elevate the overall guest experience.

• Handle front-end property and letting inquiries, qualifying leads to pass seamlessly to the backend reservations and sales team.

• Manage key logistics and maintain a highly organized, professional reception area.

• Perform general office administration, including email correspondence, ordering supplies, and maintaining front desk equipment.

Requirements:

• Must hold a current Full Queensland Real Estate Agent Licence.

• Previous experience in a reception, guest services, or operational role within a resort, hotel, or real estate environment.

• Working knowledge of major Online Travel Agencies (Booking.com, Trip.com, Expedia, etc.) and front-end reservation handling.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service focus.

• A professional presentation and a warm, welcoming demeanor suitable for a premium resort.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle guest needs, housekeeping schedules, and administrative tasks.

• Proficiency in property management or operations software (familiarity with RMS).

• A proactive, hands-on, team-player attitude.
