PPE & Workplace Safety Product Manager

About UsRSEA Safety is Australia’s largest independent safety retailer, supplying workwear, PPE and safety equipment across Retail, B2B and Hire.
With a national network approaching 100 stores and a significant B2B operation, we’re looking for an experienced PPE & Workplace Safety Product Manager to join our Merchandise team in Hurstville.
The RoleReporting to the Head of Retail Merchandise, this is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for our PPE and Workplace Safety categories across Retail, B2B and vending channels.You’ll combine strong PPE product knowledge with merchandise and commercial capability – managing product ranges, suppliers, pricing and inventory performance while supporting the wider business with technical product expertise.
A key part of the role is working closely with our B2B sales team in the field, providing product expertise and helping win and service major customer contracts.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage PPE and Workplace Safety categories across Retail, B2B and vendingDevelop and implement merchandise and category strategiesManage product ranges, pricing, margins and inventory performanceMaintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate commercial outcomesProvide technical PPE and site safety product expertise across the businessSupport B2B sales with tenders, customer contracts and product solutionsWork in the field alongside sales teams on key customer opportunitiesSupport product development, merchandising and promotional activityMonitor market trends, product developments and changes across the safety industryProvide product training and guidance to sales and retail teamsWork closely with Supply Chain, Inventory, Marketing, Sales and OperationsLead and develop direct reports
About YouExtensive experience with PPE, Workplace Safety products or closely related categoriesStrong technical knowledge of PPE and site safety productsExperience in product, merchandise or category managementCommercial understanding of pricing, margin, inventory and category performanceExperience working with suppliers and negotiating commercial agreementsExposure to B2B sales, tenders and customer contractsStrong financial, numerical and analytical capabilityConfident working across multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving environmentLeadership or people management experienceStrong Excel capability and a proactive, autonomous approach
