About the role

A part-time position and a hands-on role at the centre of our business operations, reporting to the Financial Controller. You’ll own the fortnightly payroll from timesheet to payment, and keep our accounts payable running smoothly. This isn’t just processing: we’re focused on making our payroll processes sharper and more efficient, and you’ll help shape how they work.

What you’ll do

• Run the fortnightly payroll end to end, including timely and accurate data entry from timesheets

• Set up and maintain employee records in the payroll system, ensuring pay and personnel details align with awards and employment contracts

• Apply awards, employment contracts and workplace legislation correctly in every pay run, and flag anything that doesn’t look right

• Give managers and employees clear, accurate payroll advice in line with our policies and workplace legislation

• Identify and drive improvements to payroll processes and controls within our current systems

• Manage accounts payable: receive and check invoices, match purchase orders, document discrepancies, and complete reconciliations

• Liaise with departments on outstanding invoices, credit notes and purchase orders

• Maintain regular communication with external suppliers

• Provide support to the Financial Controller and Dealer Principal as needed

What you’ll bring

• End-to-end payroll processing experience

• A working knowledge of modern awards and payroll legislation, and confidence applying them in practice

• A process-improvement mindset: you spot inefficiencies and fix them, not just work around them

• Accounts payable experience

• Sharp attention to detail and strong data entry skills

• Strong organisation and time management

• Absolute discretion with confidential information

• Experience with UniPay, Pentana or a dealership environment is a bonus, not a requirement
