About the role
4C Group is a national workforce solutions provider specialising in container unloading, warehousing, logistics, and labour hire services. With operations across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth, we deliver reliable, flexible, and efficient staffing solutions to some of Australia's leading logistics, transport, warehousing, and supply chain businesses.
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and reliable Allocator to join our Parramatta office. The Allocator plays a critical role in ensuring the daily allocation of labour to client sites, coordinating employee attendance, managing last-minute staffing issues, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and employees.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
This position will commence on a casual basis for an initial six-month probation period, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time permanent role upon successful completion of probation.
Allocate and schedule employees to client sites on a daily basis.
Commence early morning operations and manage employee attendance calls.
Confirm workforce requirements with clients each day.
Source replacement staff for absences, no-shows, and last-minute changes.
Liaise with employees regarding shifts, start times, locations, and duties.
Communicate staffing updates and changes to clients in a professional manner.
Respond promptly to operational issues and provide effective solutions.
Monitor employee availability and maintain accurate scheduling records.
Ensure all shifts are filled with appropriately trained personnel.
Coordinate labour requirements for container unloading, warehousing, and logistics operations.
Maintain regular contact with site supervisors, clients, and employees throughout the day.
Manage timesheet queries and attendance discrepancies.
Escalate workplace incidents, injuries, or performance concerns to management.
Assist with onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records.
Ensure staffing levels meet client requirements while controlling labour costs.
Support compliance with WHS policies and company procedures.
Previous experience in workforce allocation, rostering, logistics, transport, labour hire, warehouse operations, or workforce planning preferred.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and employees.
Understanding of container unloading, warehousing, logistics, or labour hire operations is advantageous.
Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated.
A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred.
Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are highly desirable.
