Senior Customer Service - Equine Industry

Do you know horses — really know horses?

Marsh Carney Saddlery is looking for an experienced horse person to join our Tamworth team in a full-time senior sales and customer service role.

We are seeking someone with genuine, practical equine knowledge who understands horses, riders and the products they rely on.

You may have grown up on a property, competed for years, worked with horses professionally, been involved in campdrafting, showing, cutting, pony club, racing, breeding or another part of the horse industry. You don't necessarily need years of retail experience — your horse knowledge, people skills and attitude are what matter most.

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on, customer-focused position in our Tamworth store. You'll spend your days talking to customers, understanding what they need and helping them choose the right products for themselves and their horses.

You'll also:

• Provide knowledgeable, practical advice across our equine product range

• Build relationships with our customers and provide the friendly service Marsh Carney Saddlery is known for

• Assist with merchandising, stock presentation and the day-to-day running of the store

• Be part of a small, passionate team

• Share your equine knowledge while continuing to build your product expertise

• Help create a welcoming store where customers genuinely enjoy shopping

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Above all, we're looking for a horse person who loves people.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong practical horse knowledge and experience

• Confidence talking about horses, equipment and the needs of different riders and disciplines

• A genuine love of talking with customers and helping people

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• A positive, reliable and team-focused attitude

• The confidence to work independently while also being part of a close-knit team

• High standards when it comes to presentation and customer service

 Previous retail experience is an advantage, but extensive equine knowledge and the right personality are particularly important to us.

HOURS

This is a permanent full-time position working a 76-hour fortnight.

Weekday hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm

Saturdays: Rostered Saturdays are required.
