Disability Support Worker/Mentor - Central & Southern Suburbs

Join our purpose-driven team as a Disability Support Worker and/or Mentor, where you'll work alongside participants to help them pursue meaningful goals, overcome challenges and take steps toward greater independence. Depending on your experience, skills and interests, you may hold one or both positions.

• x 2 Disability Support Worker & Mentor Male/Female (Central Suburbs)

• x 1 Disability Support Workers & Mentors Male/Female ( Northern Suburbs)

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred, practical support to NDIS participants across a range of settings. Depending on the individual needs of the participant, supports may include in home support, personal care, assistance with daily living activities, social and community participation, transport, medication assistance and the development and maintenance of practical daily living skills.

As a Mentor, you will provide structured, goal-focused mentoring to help participants develop confidence, independence, practical life skills and greater participation in their community. The Mentor builds a positive and professional relationship with the participant and uses encouragement, coaching, practical activities, modelling, structured learning and real life experiences to support personal development.

About you:

• A genuine commitment to supporting people with disability to pursue their goals and participate in their communities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A professional, respectful and person-centred approach

• The ability to build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries

• Reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility

• The ability to work independently while following participant support plans and organisational requirements

• A willingness to learn and receive feedback

• Hold a valid Australian driver's licence and access to a registered and appropriately insured vehicle where driving is required
