McGrath Townsville is looking for a Property Management Associate to join our team. This role gives you hands-on experience across the full property management cycle — and it's designed as a genuine launching pad. Depending on where your interests lie, associates in our team have gone on to build careers as Property Managers, Business Development Managers, Sales Agents, and in senior administration and operations roles. We'll help you figure out the right path and support you in getting there.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting leasing, routine, ingoing and outgoing inspections

• Supporting Property Managers with day-to-day tasks and client communication

• Liaising between tenants and landlords to keep things moving smoothly

• Helping manage maintenance requests and tenancy matters

• Handling admin accurately and on time

• Using your initiative to make things easier for clients and colleagues

This associate position is the common starting point for several career tracks at McGrath:

• Property Management — build toward managing your own portfolio

• Business Development — move into growing our managed portfolio and client relationships

• Sales — transition into a sales associate/agent pathway

• Administration & Operations — specialise in the systems and processes that keep the business running

We'll talk with you early about which direction interests you most and shape your training accordingly.

What you'll bring

• A proactive attitude and genuine interest in real estate

• Strong communication skills

• Comfort with technology and modern systems

• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

• A calm, problem-solving approach under pressure

• A valid driver's licence

• A Certificate of Registration (preferred, or willingness to obtain one quickly)

• Availability Monday–Friday, 8:24am–5:00pm
