About the role
This temporary employment register will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts. We often have short term vacancies during periods of leave, secondments, deployments in other areas of the Department, or short term funded projects.
About Justice
When you join the Department of Justice, you become part of a people-focused organisation, working hard to make our community a fairer and safer place to live. We offer many different employment opportunities in locations around Western Australia. You will have a chance to make a real difference to your local communities and to the lives of those you work with.
About the role
Are you looking for an opportunity to coordinate information management projects in a dynamic workplace with a wealth of history and knowledge?
Then this might be the team for you!
We are seeking committed and forward-thinking Information Management professionals to join our team and contribute to engaging and impactful projects.
Rooted in the disciplines of records management and archival science, our work spans a broad spectrum - from developing preservation strategies for historical documents that chronicle the rich history of Western Australia, to exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies that address the complexities of modern information management. You’ll put your experience in records and information management to good use, developing, implementing and managing complex projects to improve and enhance the management of records in the Department.
You will be working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders on records and information management issues and initiatives, to assist with building best-practice information management across all areas of the Department.
We are seeking skilled professionals across both the governance and operations areas of our business, who have experience in development of policies and procedures, information management projects, managing administrative or client records, or experience working with health and medical records. Key aspects of our work involve: fostering collaboration to manage projects, delivering expert advice and training, developing information management policies, procedures and systems, implementing innovative information management digital solutions, and supporting the Department’s frontline operations.
We value diversity and understand that diverse workplaces are more effective and innovative. We actively promote the employment of Aboriginal Australians, people with disability, youth, and other diversity groups.
Eligibility
Some positions require travel within Western Australia, a driver’s license, and the ability to lift boxes up to 16kg.
