Intermediate Accountant – Tablelands Region, Queensland – Well-Established Financial Services Firm

INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT – TABLELANDS REGION, QUEENSLAND – WELL-ESTABLISHED FINANCIAL SERVICES FIRM (JOB ID 859)

Our client, is a well-established integrated accounting and financial services firm with over 70 years of history and multiple locations across Queensland. They are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join their Malanda team, working closely with a broad range of clients across accounting, tax and business advisory services while being supported by a highly experienced and collaborative team. 

The Role: 

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across accounting, taxation, and business advisory 

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, reconciliations, and compliance work 

• Assist with tax planning and provide practical business advice to clients 

• Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships 

• Work closely with Partners and senior accountants on complex matters 

• Support and review work from junior team members where required 

About You: 

• Degree qualified in Accounting or related discipline 

• 2–5 years’ experience in public practice or business services 

• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards 

• Strong technical skills across Australian accounting standards and tax legislation 

• Proficient in Xero, XPM, Microsoft Office and ATO Portal 

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build client relationships 

• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines 

• Proactive, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement
