We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Senior Respiratory Scientist to join our team at Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Position Profile and Role

The Senior Respiratory Scientist independently conducts complex and specialised pulmonary function testing at an advanced practice level. The role provides professional guidance, training and clinical oversight to Respiratory Scientists as required. Under the direction of the Senior Respiratory Scientist in Charge, the role is responsible for specific tasks that cover laboratory operational requirements, education and training, quality assurance, clinical trials and laboratory accreditation.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is an 863-bed tertiary and quaternary hospital providing a broad range of specialised healthcare services. These include the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, dedicated mental health facilities, maternity, paediatric and neonatal care, as well as the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers highly specialised treatments such as heart and lung transplantation and hyperbaric medicine.

Adjacent to the hospital, the FSH Medihotel operates within the Aegis Health Building and provides an innovative extension of FSH healthcare services, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

• Organisation Requirements - Need to work across Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
