Canine Trainer

About the role

You will work with dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities within a structured environment focused on enrichment, education, wellbeing and safe canine handling.

Key responsibilities

• Handling and supervising groups of dogs

• Training and behavioural work

• Walking, enrichment and structured activities

• Cleaning and maintaining high hygiene standards

• Supporting daily operations and client interactions

• Working both independently and as part of a team

About you

• Is kind, patient and calm in nature

• Genuinely loves working with dogs

• Understands this is physically and mentally demanding work

• Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Is fit, healthy, energetic and adaptable

• Demonstrates a fitness level to meet the physical demands of dog handling and supervision

• Can think on their feet and remain calm under pressure

• Has great communication and teamwork skills

• Is reliable, professional and willing to learn

• Understands canine body language and safe handling practices

• Minimum one year of professional dog handling experience is required for this position

• All candidates must hold valid Australian work rights to be considered for this role
