Skilled Labourer / Concrete Remediation Technician

Melbourne-Based Role | Upcoming Interstate Mine Shutdown Work

Ironstone Civil is seeking a motivated and reliable Skilled Labourer / Concrete Remediation Technician to join our growing Melbourne-based crew.

This is an ongoing Melbourne-based position involving specialised concrete remediation, civil and industrial maintenance works. Over the coming months, the successful applicant will also be required to travel interstate for mine shutdown projects, including upcoming work in the Northern Territory.

Shutdown assignments will generally involve one- to two-week mobilisations, with some projects potentially operating on a 2:1 roster. This role is ideally suited to someone looking for stable Melbourne-based work who is also comfortable working away when required.

Typical Scope of Work

The role may include:

• Concrete repair and remediation

• Minor concrete demolition using hand and power tools

• Formwork and concrete pours

• Concrete patching and finishing

• Epoxy crack injection

• Grouting and waterproofing works

• General labouring and site support

• Working safely within active civil, industrial and mining environments

About You

The ideal applicant will be reliable, physically capable and comfortable working within a small, specialised crew.

Highly regarded experience includes:

• Concrete repair or remediation

• Mining, shutdown or FIFO work

• Epoxy injection or concrete patching systems

• Formwork and concrete finishing

• Civil construction or industrial maintenance

• Confident use of hand and power tools

• Strong safety awareness and work ethic

Specialist remediation experience is preferred; however, applicants with a solid construction background and the right attitude will also be considered.

Requirements

• Construction White Card

• Current driver’s licence

• Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug and alcohol testing

• Ability and willingness to travel interstate and work away for periods of one to two weeks

• Availability for upcoming shutdown work over the next few months

• Full Australian working rights
