The Role

We are seeking an ambitious, strategic sales leader to take ownership of our commercial footprint across Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.

As State Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for sales strategy, P&L management, major account partnerships, and team culture. You will act as a pivotal leader within De Bortoli Wines, shaping how our portfolio shows up in key trade channels while mentoring a dedicated sales teams.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Strategic Growth: Design and execute dynamic sales strategies across VIC, SA, and TAS to hit volume, revenue, and gross profit benchmarks.
• Commercial Partnerships: Build and maintain high-value relationships across key banner groups, independent retailers, and primary wholesalers throughout the southern region.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower a talented metropolitan and regional teams, fostering a culture of high performance, development, and accountability.
• Business Intelligence: Leverage market data, competitor analysis, and trade insights to optimize promotional spend and capitalize on emerging growth channels.

Organisational Synergy: Serve as the strategic bridge connecting local field sales, state account leads, and national executive leadership.

What You Bring

• Proven Experience: A strong track record in senior account management or state-level sales leadership, ideally within the liquor, beverage, or FMCG sectors.
• Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in joint business planning, P&L ownership, contract negotiation, and budget management.
• Inspiring Leadership: An authentic leadership style focused on coaching team members to reach their full potential.
• Strategic Agility: The ability to balance big-picture planning with hands-on tactical execution in a fast-paced commercial environment.
