Practice Manager/ Business Manager

Fulham GP is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager / Business Manager to join our established leadership team.

Working closely with the management team, you will provide leadership and operational oversight to a team of approximately 42 doctors/ nurses/ receptionists and administrative staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice manager who enjoys leading people, improving systems and contributing to the ongoing growth and development of a successful private-billing, non-corporate medical practice.

The position is full-time across five days, with some flexibility around working hours.

In this role, you will join a strong and experienced leadership team that includes our Directors, Finance Manager, Nurse Manager, Reception Manager, and Senior Receptionist.

To support a smooth transition into the position, the current Reception Manager is also Fulham GP's former Practice Manager and brings extensive operational knowledge and experience to the leadership team.

You will be a confident and approachable leader with strong organisational skills and the ability to balance people management, compliance, operational priorities and day-to-day demands of a well-established general practice.

Ideally, you will bring:

• A minimum of one year of experience in a business or practice management role

• A minimum of two years' experience within GP reception or medical administration

• Strong experience in Human Resources, including recruitment, staff management and performance processes

• Sound knowledge of Medicare, healthcare compliance and general practice operations

• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

• The ability to lead with professionalism, empathy and accountability

• Experience with roster management, timesheet software and workforce planning

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement operational and strategic improvements

• Experience with patient account reconciliation and debt management

• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications
  

The following qualifications and experience would be advantageous:

• AAPM Fellowship or Certified Practice Manager qualification

• Bachelor of Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Human Resources or a related qualification

• Extensive experience managing a general practice or healthcare service

• Experience using Best Practice, Cubiko and Automed Systems
  

The Practice Manager / Business Manager will be responsible for supporting the effective operation and continued development of Fulham GP, including:

• Leading and supporting the administrative and clinical teams

• Human Resource management, recruitment and staff development

• Workforce planning and roster oversight

• Timesheet processing for payroll

• Supporting practice accreditation, compliance and regulatory requirements

• Medicare and patient account management

• Monitoring and improving operational systems and workflows

• Supporting clinical excellence and financial stewardship

• Working collaboratively with the Directors and management team

• Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategic initiatives
  

• $105,000 + 12% Superannuation
