About the Role
Bennco Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Leading Hand (various projects) to support recently awarded Projects across the Pilbara and remote WA.

Job Details

Commissioning and Testing Personnel
Electrical Installation Works
Supervise and, where appropriately qualified and authorised, participate in electrical installation activities.
Ensure installation works are undertaken in accordance with approved IFC drawings, specifications, electrical standards, project procedures and manufacturer requirements.
Coordinate installation of electrical equipment, cable containment, cabling, termination, earthing, lighting, small power, control systems and associated electrical infrastructure as applicable to the project.
Ensure work fronts are adequately planned, resourced and prepared prior to commencement.
Verify materials, equipment and tools are available and suitable for the planned works.
Identify clashes, constructability issues, incomplete information or discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and escalate them to the Supervisor/Project Manager.
Ensure temporary works, access requirements and interfaces with other trades are appropriately coordinated.
Quality Control
Ensure electrical installation works comply with project quality requirements, approved drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
Review work prior to inspection and ensure installations are ready for required Inspection and Test Records (ITRs).
Coordinate with the Supervisor, Quality Representative and Client Representative for required inspections and hold points.
Ensure defects and non-conformances are identified, recorded and rectified in a timely manner.
Ensure completed works are protected from damage and remain suitable for subsequent construction activities.
Verify installation quality, workmanship, labelling, identification, cable routing, terminations, earthing and equipment installation as applicable.
Ensure required testing is undertaken by appropriately competent and authorised personnel.
Maintain awareness of outstanding punch-list items and assist in closing items within the required timeframe.
Communication and Reporting
Report daily progress, completed quantities, labour utilisation, constraints and outstanding works to the nominated Supervisor.
Communicate project issues, technical queries, design discrepancies and construction constraints promptly.
Provide accurate information to Project Managers and Supervisors to support project reporting and planning.
Maintain effective communication with Client Representatives while operating within the project reporting structure.
Ensure instructions received from the Client are appropriately communicated through the project management structure where required.
Escalate matters outside delegated authority to the Supervisor or Project Manager rather than making unauthorised commitments to the Client.
Participate in coordination meetings, pre-starts, toolbox meetings and construction planning meetings as required.
Documentation and Records
Ensure required daily records, timesheets, pre-start documentation and construction records are completed accurately.
Ensure relevant ITRs, checklists, test records and inspection documentation are completed progressively.
Assist with compilation of commissioning, testing and handover documentation.
Ensure red-line mark-ups and as-constructed information are captured and communicated to the appropriate project personnel.
Maintain accurate records of completed works, outstanding works, defects and rectification activities.
Ensure electrical installation records are submitted in accordance with project requirements.
Prerequisites (mandatory):
WA Electrical License
Construction Industry white card
Minimum “C” class driver license
Own basic tools of the trade
LVR, CPR, & First Aid
National Police Clearance within 12 months
Ability to pass a Medical & Drug/Alcohol Screen

Working at heights
EWP (HRWL over 11m)
RTIO EWC, Arc flash, LVR Aveling Training
RTIO Essentials for Site & Lockholder Aveling Training
Working in Confined space
Fire Training (Aveling)
