Practice Nurse

Position: Enrolled Endorsed Nurse (EN/EEN)

Hours: 24 hours per week

We are seeking a caring, reliable and professional EN/Enrolled Endorsed Nurse to join our friendly healthcare team on a part-time fixed-term basis to provide maternity leave cover. This role would suit an experienced EEN who enjoys working collaboratively with doctors, nurses and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive clinical environment.

About the Role

The successful applicant will provide safe, patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of registered nurses and medical practitioners. Duties may include assisting with clinical procedures, immunisations and other injections, patient observations, wound care, chronic disease support, health assessments, documentation and general treatment room duties.

Key Responsibilities

•    Provide high-quality nursing care within scope of practice and in accordance with relevant standards and policies.

•    Assist with patient assessment, observations and clinical documentation.

•    Support doctors and registered nurses with procedures and treatment room activities.

• Administer immunisations where appropriately endorsed and authorised.

• Administer medication injections

•    Provide wound care, health education and chronic disease support.

• Maintain infection prevention and control standards.

•    Contribute to a positive, respectful and team-focused workplace culture.

Essential Criteria

•     Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

• Current endorsement to administer medications, where required for the role.

•   Demonstrated commitment to safe, compassionate and patient-centred care.

•   Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

•   Ability to work within professional scope of practice and follow clinical direction.

•   Current CPR certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.

•   Current Criminal Record and Working with Children Check.

Desirable

•   Previous experience in general practice, primary care, or acute care .
