Habitat HQ is a professional and welcoming co-working space on the Gold Coast, designed for startups, SMEs, and solo operators. Our meeting rooms are open to the public. Located conveniently in Helensvale, we provide our members with premium facilities, private offices, and a vibrant community hub. Our in-house café is central to the Habitat HQ experience, providing excellent coffee and food to our members and guest businesses.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and personable Cafe Barista & Co-working Host to be the welcoming face of Habitat HQ. This is more than a standard barista role; you will be at the heart of our community, interacting with our members daily, maintaining the vibrant atmosphere of our space, and ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

This is a permanent part-time position offering 25-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with great flexibility. Looking for someone to start within two weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

* Crafting and serving high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages.

* Preparing light meals and snacks from our café menu.

* Food handling certification training will be provided to the successful candidate.

* Managing front-of-house operations, including QR code and point-of-sale orders.

* Greeting members and guests with a warm and professional demeanour.

* Assisting with enquiries about memberships and meeting rooms.

* Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the café and common areas to the highest standard.

* Assisting with stock control, ordering, and daily open/close procedures.

* Fostering a positive and collaborative community atmosphere.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience as a Barista in a cafe environment.

* Minimum of 6-12 months barista experience in a cafe environment is required.

* A genuine passion for coffee and customer service excellence.

* An outgoing, confident, and friendly personality with exceptional communication skills.

* Impeccable presentation and a professional attitude.

* Highly reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

* A natural "host" who enjoys building relationships and creating a welcoming environment.

* Must have current Australian work rights.

*Current Australian driver's licence required.
