As a Senior AML Compliance Specialist, you’ll support the Manager – Compliance in ensuring Bank Australia’s AML/CTF policies and procedures remain current, effective, and aligned with regulatory requirements. You’ll provide subject matter expertise across the bank, supporting first line teams to meet their obligations and contributing to a strong, compliant financial crime risk culture.

What you will be doingAssist in maintaining AML/CTF compliance frameworks and policiesMonitor regulatory changes and ensure procedures remain currentProvide subject matter expertise and support to first line teamsAct as a key contact for AUSTRAC and coordinate regulatory reportingSupport audits and remediation initiatives related to AML/KYCAssist customer-facing teams with AML queries and onboarding supportAssist the Compliance Manager in preparing reports for Board and Management committeesMaintain industry relationships and contribute to regulatory forumsPerform other compliance duties as directed.
What you will bringRelevant tertiary or diploma qualification; financial crime certifications highly regardedExperience in AML/CTF compliance, ideally within financial servicesStrong knowledge of AML/CTF legislation, risk factors, and regulatory obligationsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to collaborate and influence across all levels of the organisationUnderstanding of Bank Australia’s products and their AML/CTF risk profileCommitment to Bank Australia’s purpose, aspiration, values and brand as well as the B Corp ethos.
