Cake Decorator / Pastry Cook

About the role

The Cheesecake Shop Welland is seeking a talented Cake Decorator to join our team in Welland, SA 5007. This is a permanent part-time role of 15 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Creating beautifully decorated cakes to delight our customers along with keenness for customer service
• Assisting with the preparation of a variety of sweet treats, including cheesecakes, tortes, mudcakes and other baked goods using the pre-set recipes
• Ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation in all your work
• Collaborating with the team to provide exceptional customer service
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

About you

• Previous experience as a cake decorator, preferably in a retail or commercial bakery setting is a MUST
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a cake decorator is required
• Excellent decorating and piping skills, with an eye for detail and creativity
• Advanced cake decorating techniques and piping skills are essential for this role
• Strong baking and pastry-making abilities, with the knowledge to produce a variety of sweet treats
• The ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
• Australian work rights are required for this position
