Home Care Billing and Claims Officer

Revenue, Claims & Funding Management

• Manage Medicare claiming via Services Australia portal, including new client setups, movements, and supplements
• Prepare and upload claim files and complete refund reviews within required timeframes
• Monitor and process budget adjustments and review travel cost fees
• Liaise with Medicare to resolve anomalies and claim rejection

Billing Operations & Financial Administration

• Prepare and issue invoices and statements for private and brokerage clients
• Maintain accurate client records and cost allocations in AlayaCare
• Process termination refunds and exit payments in line with legislation
• Coordinate annual fee updates and support system changes 

Compliance & Confidentiality

• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to internal controls
• Support compliance with Aged Care Act, Support at Home reforms, and SCC standards
• Conduct internal checks to identify and correct errors
• Assist with audits and escalate risks promptly 

Customer Engagement & Issue Resolution

• Respond to client and representative enquiries with empathy and clarity
• Support Service Advisors with budgeting and fee explanations
• Participate in debtor meetings and follow up on overdue accounts
• Provide specialist advice to staff during process changes
