The Settlers Tavern is currently recruiting highly motivated Full-Time Cook, Chef, Waiter, to join our team. We work in a fast-paced environment alongside a talented team of professionals all dedicated to delivering exceptional dishes to our guests.

As a supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of your area of responsibility. This includes building strong teamwork, managing change, ensuring regular and clear communication and dealing with conflicts as they arise.

Cook

Duties and responsibilities:

- Prepare meals in line with the restaurant standards

- Support the ordering of food and supplies

- Care for food supplies and leftovers appropriately

- Infusing flavours by adding seasonings

- Maintain and operate the kitchen in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner the cooking process

- Prepare meals for special events and additions functions, adjusting the dishes accordingly with the dietary needs of the customers

- Artfully plating dishes with appropriate portions, accompanied by sauces, gravies, and garnishes.

- Develop menu suggestion

- Check on store food and supplies are delivered

- Controlling the temperature of ovens, grills, and various cooking equipment

Skills and experience:

- Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.

- At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.

- Good time management

- Able to work under pressure

Chef

Duties and responsibilities:

- Create seasonal menu and other special menus;

- Inventorying food, ingredient, and supply stock to prepare and plan vendor orders; manage the budget;

- Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet our high standards;

- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment;

- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation and ensure appealing plate presentation;

- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures; - Preparing and cooking food in a timely manner;

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

- Hire, train and manage kitchen staff;

- Verify compliance in preparation of menu items and customer special requests.

Skills and experience:

- Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.

Waiter

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Offering a warm welcome to our customers and verifying their reservations;
• Accommodating new reservations and seamlessly integrating them into our booking system;
• Accepting orders while recommending enticing menu selections and daily specials to guests;
• Upholding the impeccable cleanliness of our bar areas, glassware, and all utilized equipment;
• Ensuring tables are promptly cleared post-service, with glasses and plates picked up, and preparations are made for ensuing service;
• Striving to achieve absolute customer satisfaction, while diligently adhering to workplace safety guidelines and hygienic practices;
• Contributing to uphold the exemplary customer service standards set by the employer;
• Executing other related and incidental duties as directed by the employer.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

· MUST have a can do attitude and good time management

All Position (Cook, Chef, Waiter): Full Time (at least 38 hours per week)

All Position (Cook, Chef, Waiter) Salary range: $70,000 – 90,000 per year
