The opportunity

An established full-service financial services business is launching a new mortgage broking division in Toowoomba, and we’re looking for an experienced Mortgage Broker to join the team.

This is an opportunity to step into a PAYG Mortgage Broker role where you won’t be expected to generate all of your own business. You’ll have access to leads and referrals from the existing financial services business, giving you the opportunity to focus on clients, residential lending and writing quality home loans.

About the role

As the Mortgage Broker, you’ll work across residential lending and home loans, managing clients from initial enquiry through to settlement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing warm leads and referrals provided by the business

• Conducting client appointments and understanding their lending requirements

• Providing residential home loan and mortgage lending solutions

• Assessing borrowing capacity and loan scenarios

• Managing mortgage applications from submission through to settlement

• Building strong relationships with clients and referral partners

• Working closely with the broader financial services team to identify lending opportunities

• Providing a high level of service throughout the home loan process

• Helping establish and grow the new mortgage broking division

About you

We’re looking for an experienced Mortgage Broker, Home Loan Specialist or residential lending professional who can confidently manage the full mortgage broking process.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in mortgage broking, home loans or residential lending

• Strong knowledge of residential mortgage products and lending policies

• Experience managing applications from enquiry through to settlement

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A client-focused approach

• The ability to convert warm leads and referrals into settled loans

• Strong attention to detail and organisation

• The confidence to work autonomously while being part of a broader financial services team

• A genuine interest in helping build something new
