About the Opportunity

We're looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Officer to join our Finance team in a varied, hands-on role.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' finance experience who is looking to broaden their accounting knowledge and take the next step in their career. You'll work alongside experienced finance professionals who are committed to mentoring and developing your skills, with genuine opportunities for future career progression.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll collaborate closely with our Assistant Accountant and wider Finance team while building relationships with stakeholders across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end Accounts Receivable
• Providing support across Accounts Payable
• Assisting with the fortnightly payroll for more than 1,000 employees
• Administering the AMEX and NAB corporate credit card programs
• Debtor management and credit control
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Preparing analytical reports
• Assisting with internal and external audit processes
• Maintaining finance policies and procedures
• Supporting a variety of finance projects as the business continues to grow

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in producing accurate work and is eager to continue learning.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
• Currently studying towards (or intending to commence) your CA or CPA qualification
• 1-2 years' experience in a finance or accounting environment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Confidence working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Experience using MYOB will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
