Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) – Sydney & Melbourne

You will have the opportunity to rotate through some of our IB&M teams, including Global Institutional Banking Coverage (GIBC), Institutional Transaction Banking, Capital Structuring, Strategy & Non- Financial Risk & Conduct.

You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of IB&M through interactive learning sessions and will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that have direct impact on our institutional clients. You will also work cross-functionally on a group project to solve some of the most significant challenges facing our organisation and present them to leaders in our business. And you’ll be supported by a buddy, people leader and program manager.

After the Summer Intern Program, you’ll have the chance to fast track into the 12-month Graduate Program where you'll rotate through 3 different teams across Global Markets, Global Institutional Banking Coverage (GIBC), Institutional Transaction Banking, Capital Structuring, Strategy & Non- Financial Risk & Conduct.

The majority of our positions are in Sydney.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

We accept all degree backgrounds. In particular, you may have a background in quantitative degrees such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, and Mathematics or studied subjects aligned to these disciplines. You’re also:

• Are innately curious about analysing data and information to draw conclusions;
• Are proactive, highly engaged and an ambitious self-starter;
• Are someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and a strong desire to succeed;
• Is passionate about building meaningful relationships with our customers
• A Permanent Resident of Australia (please note, this does not include bridging visas while awaiting permanent residency or 820 visa holders), or Citizen of Australia or New Zealand at the time of your application
• In your penultimate year of your overall university degree, or if you’re doing a double degree (in your penultimate year), and;
• Have achieved at least a credit average minimum in your degree
• Living in or willing to relocate if required for the program at your own expense
