As Australia’s leading online Broker, CommSec helps Australian’s invest with confidence. You’ll have the opportunity to work on key business initiatives and get a behind the scenes look, into how the CommSec, website, mobile app, products and services empower more Australians to grow their wealth.

You’ll bring your curiosity, customer centricity and creative mindset to the team. You’ll focus on innovating, setting the strategy for our products, and will have the opportunity to support our customers wanting to build their wealth.

As a CommSec Summer Intern, you will learn and grow across five core capability areas:

• Customer – A deep customer obsession, grounded in understanding user needs and designing intuitive, seamless product experiences.
• Data – The ability to identify critical data points and translate them into insights that guide product decisions and measure impact.
• Industry – Subject matter knowledge of the broader market landscape, including competitors, trends, and emerging technologies relevant to the domain.
• Business – Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of the legal, regulatory, risk, governance, and compliance frameworks that shape product strategy.
• Product – Expertise in the product itself - its value proposition, functionality, and opportunities for innovation - ensuring it remains competitive, compliant, and aligned to customer and business needs.

Our team of trading, product and account experts work together to provide our retail and wholesale clients with access to online broking and investment product options. You’ll develop your knowledge and expertise within the CommSec and broader Business Banking teams. You may see yourself joining teams such as digital, product, analytics and customer experience.

At the end of your Summer Internship, you may receive a fast-tracked offer into our 2028 Graduate Program, where you can continue to grow your career across CommSec.

If this sounds like you, and you are:

• A Permanent Resident of Australia (please note, this does not include bridging visas while awaiting permanent residency or 820 visa holders), or Citizen of Australia or New Zealand at the time of your application
• In your penultimate year of your overall university degree
• Achieving a minimum credit average across your degree
• Sydney based, or willing to relocate to Sydney for the program at your own expense
