WE’RE HIRING — COMMIS CHEF

Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant Newmarket is looking for a Casual or Part-Time Commis Chef to join our kitchen team!

About the Role

As a member of our kitchen team, you’ll play an important role in preparing and presenting high-quality food while maintaining our standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.

You’ll work alongside our kitchen team to ensure smooth service and consistently deliver delicious Mexican food to our customers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A relevant trade qualification and/or experience in a similar kitchen position.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• A commitment to maintaining high and consistent food quality standards.
• Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP principles.
• A good understanding of workplace health and safety practices in a commercial kitchen.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

• Pay rates and allowances in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award MA000119.
• Weekly pay via direct deposit.
