The Opportunity 

Due to continued company growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Barrier Labourer  to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting both yard and site operations, including the safe handling, loading, and installation of barrier equipment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring efficient operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Load and unload concrete and steel barriers using a 16t forklift
• Assist with barrier preparation and on-site installation works
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in line with procedures
• Complete required paperwork (SWMS, pre-starts, checklists, load records)
• Maintain accurate records including item counts, photos, and documentation
• Communicate effectively with customers and support site operations
• Assist with stocktakes and use digital systems to track tasks
• Support yard operations including equipment handling, staging, and storage
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet operational priorities
• Undertake site-based work in high-risk environments

What You Will Bring:

• Proven forklift operating experience (16t highly regarded)
• Experience loading/unloading trucks and working in yard or construction environments
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and strong time management
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Comfortable using smartphone apps and digital systems
• Experience using hand tools

Licences & Requirements

• Valid High Risk Forklift Licence
• Driver’s Licence
• White Card
• HR Licence (or willingness to obtain) – highly regarded
• Riggers Licence (or willingness to obtain) – highly regarded
• Availability to work night shifts and overtime as required
