Operations Manager - Commercial Roofing

The Operations Manager leads the Victorian Office's projects and team of tradespeople, ensuring that projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner without impacting quality and safety. The successful candidate will bring leadership, customer service, and organisational skills, and apply them to our great culture.

About you:

• Proven experience in team leadership, operations management, or project management in roofing. Experience in broader construction will be considered, but a strong understanding of roofing projects is a must

• Ability to lead a business unit, ensuring it's complete long term success

• Passionate about people, team performance, and staff development

• Ability to manage schedules and day-to-day operations, with strong planning and problem solving skills

• Familiarity of safety regulations and compliance standards, and how to implement

• Strong leadership, supporting our team of skilled technicians to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard

• Ability to manage a broad mix of different stakeholders

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop the Victorian Operations team

• Manage day-to-day and future planned operations of the team

• Support the team to deliver high quality work that meets client expectations

• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations

• Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure client needs are met

• Manage subcontractors when needed

• Work with broader Roof & Building Service team

• Identify training needs and opportunities for project team members

• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to foster professional growth

• Encourage a culture of continuous learning within the project team
