Front End Loader / Excavator Operators – Full-Time Positions

SoilWorx is looking for experienced and reliable Front End Loader / Excavator Operators to join our growing operations team, with full-time positions available across our Western and South East locations.

Locations: Western Suburbs & South East Melbourne
Employment: Full-Time Positions Available
Hours: Shifts falling between 5:00am–7:00pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday work available

About the Role

You'll be responsible for safely operating front-end loaders and excavators across our busy soil and materials facilities.

Your day-to-day work will include loading trucks, managing stockpiles, feeding screening and processing equipment, moving materials throughout the yard, and helping ensure our operations run safely and efficiently.

We have full-time positions available, offering consistent hours and the opportunity to build a long-term career with an established Victorian business.

Your Responsibilities

• Safely operating front-end loaders and excavators

• Loading trucks and trailers accurately and efficiently

• Feeding, screening, and processing equipment

• Handling, stockpiling, and moving materials throughout the yard

• Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting defects or maintenance requirements promptly

• General yard duties and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment

• Following all SoilWorx safety and environmental procedures

• Working closely with drivers, yard staff, and management to keep daily operations running smoothly

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience operating front-end loaders and/or excavators

• Experience loading trucks and trailers

• Relevant machinery tickets and competencies

• Construction Industry White Card

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Flexibility to work shifts falling between 5:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday

• Saturday availability when required

• Strong understanding of workplace safety

• Good spatial awareness when working around trucks, heavy machinery and pedestrians

• Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team

• A strong work ethic and pride in the equipment you operate and the work you produce

Experience within the soil, quarry, recycling, landscaping, civil construction, earthmoving, or bulk materials industries will be highly regarded.
